My name is Amanda Ziadeh and I am currently a Reporter for GovernmentCIO Magazine, previously Reporter/Producer for Government Computer News and freelance writer for USA TODAY Travel Experience Food & Wine.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2014, where I majored in Multi-platform Journalism and minored in French Studies.

Throughout college, I interned with and had work published by USA TODAY Travel, Capitol File Magazine, DC Magazine and The Takoma Voice. I was a student reporter for the American Journalism Review for a semester and Editor-in-Chief of the campus' only lifestyle magazine, Unwind. I was a copy editor for the university's Jewish newspaper, The Mitzpeh, and wrote for various campus publications such as The Public Asian, The Mitzpeh, HerCampus Online MagazineLa Voz Latina and Uloop.

In the Spring of 2013, I had the pleasure of living in Nice, France for four months to study French. During my time, I traveled throughout Europe experiencing amazing places, new foods and cultures, and expanding my passion for travel.

For GCN I covered Technology, Tools and Tactics for the Public Sector IT audience. As a contributor for Experience Food & Wine I covered travel-related food, restaurants/bars, chefs, near & far culinary happenings and wine & spirit trends. Each professional experience I have had has added to my list of skills, allowing my digital, multimedia and software abilities to continue growing.

I am always eager to learn new things, visit new places and take on new challenges!
